Christmas is finally over. The holiday itself was great; I got to spend quality time with my family which is something we don't get to do as often as we'd like. However, the weeks leading up to Christmas were completely and utterly insane.
I have never ever in my little life spent so much time working on art. I had taken numerous Christmas card orders, an order for 20 baby shower invites, and several sets of birthday invitations and cards. I had plenty of time to do all of these things with no problem until I started having things go wrong in my personal life. I caught the flu, again. My mom ended up in the hospital due to a bacterial infection in her heart which was the most terrifying experience of my life but she's getting better, thankfully. And then North Carolina got a huge snowstorm which never happens here. It was awesome being snowed in for a few days but I needed supplies and everything was shut down.
So with orders to make and time being down to the wire, I ended up skipping my sleep. Last week, I probably slept a total of 20 hours for the entire week. I usually do at least 6 a night so needless to say, I was in full-fledged Zombie mode. But you know what? I'd do it all again because it was worth it. It put extra money in my pocket and paid for all my Christmas presents to my family. I just learned some valuable lessons this time around about being prepared and what to expect. So for next year's Christmas, I'm already getting started!
xoxo
